My son and his family live in this part of the world, so when I saw this mission trip, I was eager to join. My son loves this place, and I wanted to know more about the area where he serves. I’ve been here once before, but I’ve never experienced the villages like I did this time. It’s amazing to see the extreme poverty – from my Western point of view, anyway – compared with the beautiful joy and hospitality of the people who live here. I can see now why my son is sacrificing so much to share the gospel with these beautiful people.
